This Sunday, October 21st is the final 2018 meeting of the Writers Guild of the Pearl S. Buck Writing Center. We meet at 1pm until 3pm at the Cultural Center [big red barn] at Green Hills Farm, 520 Dublin Road, Perkasie, PA 18944.
We welcome all writers, published or aspiring, to bring a short 2-3 page selection from their work to share. The Guild members are eager to listen, offer praise and constructive critique. You are also welcome to attend and just listen.
Please be sure to supply 15 copies of your work and have your email address on each. We do our best to include everyone, but two hours sometimes is too short to get to all pieces. This way we can still read and comment later.
Anne Kaler as author is always cooking up some imaginative intrigue and spurring on others to craft terror tempting who-dunnits. Now Anne is sharing this link from Authors Publish to their listing of 19 Mystery Publishers. Put on your deer-stalker, grab your magnifying glass and dig out that moldering manuscript that will give us goosebumps!
We’re excited to post this link to a blog by Sandra Carey Cody, a published author and workshop presenter for the Pearl S. Buck Writing Center. Appearing on the website called Classic and Cozy Books, Sandra’s story featuring Pearl S. Buck is entitled, “It’s How You Play the Cards You’re Dealt.” Be sure to read her story and leave her a message online.
Don’t forget our deadline for the Fall 2018 Pearl S. Buck Literary Journal is October 31st, 2018. The theme is Transformation. Any questions, just follow the link on the upper right of this blog.
Thanks for sharing the link to my blog. I’m proud to be associated with the Writing Center – even though I’m not as active as I’d like to be. Hope to remedy that.
