Our monthly Writers Guild meetings (the third Sunday afternoons from March to October) are where we share and critique our writing work-in-progress. In a friendly atmosphere, we encourage, support, and challenge writers to improve whether they are experienced writers or beginners. Our monthly Newsletter provides updates on the latest ideas on the writing craft and its opportunities. Guild members may also use request editing assistance from our skilled editorial staff.

To help our writers, the editors provide opportunities to get published:

Pearl S. Buck Writing Center Press (WCP) which has produced four books including one novel, one memoir and two non-fiction books, all using Amazon’s CreateSpace system, with several others currently in production.

Pearl S. Buck Literary Journal published online twice a year, featuring works of all types — fiction, memoirs, essays, poetry, songwriting etc. from Writing Center program participants, workshop presenters and Writers Guild members.

► WCP editors are currently finalizing guidelines for submissions to a proposed book of essays and articles about Pearl S. Buck and her life, literature, and legacy.

  1. I am a beginner in writing, but I am very passionate about my stories! The memoir class and the writers guild group have been very informative and helpful in this journey, Both classes also offer a very supportive environment to new writers like myself. Highly recommended !!!
