2024 Pearl S. Buck Writing Center Calendar Online

Dear Writers Guild, Memoir Class and Book Discussion group members,

Months have passed since last Fall when our October Writers Guild Zoom meeting wrapped up 2023 – a year full of a wide range of stories, memoirs, book excerpts and poetry. We editors trust you have all been writing and are eager to join us again.

Linda Wisniewski’s Memoir Class series [in the evenings in Spring & afternoons this Fall] offers, as she puts it, “Whatever your goal, you will learn to write with purpose and clarity and organize your life experiences for sharing or safekeeping.”

Cindy Louden’s Book Discussions on Zoom promise to be thought-provoking and fun.

2022 Writers Guild Zoom Meeting Calendar

The Pearl S. Buck Writing Center’s Writers Guild will zoom meet on the 3rd Sundays monthly from March 20th through October 16th, from 1-3 pm to share and critique our writing work-in-progress.

In a friendly atmosphere, we encourage, support and challenge our adult writers to improve, whether they are experienced writers or beginners. All genres of literature are welcome from novels and short fiction to memoirs, essays and poetry by all levels of writers.

$80 Registration to cover 8 sessions is required. To register for the Writers Guild, contact Cindy Louden at clouden@pearlsbuck.org and give your Name, Address, Cell Phone number & Email address. You will be called for your Credit Card information.

Registered Guild members must send writings for editing consideration and distribution to lindadonaldson@verizon.net 2 weeks prior to our meetings so all attendees can read and be prepared to discuss. An online link to our Zoom meetings will be sent prior to each meeting.

Writing Center Announces 2021 Programs

The Pearl S. Buck Writing Center began in 2010 under the title of Writing at a Writer’s House.  Our purpose is to respectfully continue the successful writing partnership and networking of Pearl S. Buck and her husband, Richard Walsh. Public information about the center is available at www.pearlsbuck.org/writingcenter. Interest quickly grew into the many activities offered by the Writing Center today. The PSB Writing Center has served approximately 500 people through its workshops and published 17 books through its WCP/Writing Center Press, continuing the writing legacy of Pearl S. Buck, with writers writing at a Writer’s House.
